My husband was told "sure come on in and we will get to in a couple of hours". They was wens. Thursday check it out, need to order parts. Fri parts come, wrong parts.. why because they have no idea how to order parts for an older truck. Well the right parts will be here Monday. Guess what.. Monday is here and husband had to ask where the part was. Found it around 2. It's 3:49 still waiting... This place is very unprofessional. They do not update, cannot order parts. I do not feel confident with this at all...
The people were very friendly southern hospitality and charm was in full effect and you will not be disappointed.
I pulled in to this facility and was inside the bay door by 10:00am; it is 2:00pm! I sat in the lounge area watching the mechanics. Most of them shuffle back and forth 'appearing' to work. However, the shop area has the cleanest grease free floors Ive ever seen at a diesel repair shop and the mechanics are pretty clean as well...which is an indication that little to nothing gets done here aside for billable hours of labor that never happens. Steer clear...
Based on the reviews I have to admit, I was hesitant to get my truck worked on here. But, I really didn't have a choice. I am so glad I was forced to bring my truck to Lone Star Truck group. This has been by far my best experience at a shop. They were very prompt about getting my truck in for a diagnosis of the problem(less than 2 hrs). They had the repairs done without padding the bill with extra "time". I had such a good experience that I am contemplating traveling the 3 hrs for all future work on my truck. I'm not sure why some of the other reviews are so negative. I have my suspicions (sour grapes), but I would highly recommend having your truck serviced or worked on here. Janet was courteous, knowledgeable and patient with me and all of my questions. Thank you Lone Star for getting me back on the road in a very timely manner.
